Who are we?

Welcome to Caspian Glow!
My name is Aysu Asgarova, and I’m the founder of this skincare platform created to help teenagers and young adults better understand and care for their skin.

The idea for Caspian Glow came to me on a warm summer afternoon when my sister asked me,yet again,how to get rid of a pimple on her forehead. It wasn’t the first time, and it certainly wouldn’t be the last. That moment made me realize just how many teens feel lost when it comes to skincare, and I thought: why not build something that could offer real answers?

I know this struggle firsthand. I personally dealt with acne for over two years, and it deeply affected both my confidence and my daily life. Fortunately, I had one big advantage—my mom is a dermatologist. Her guidance and support helped me understand my skin and treat it properly. But I also realized that not everyone has the privilege of turning to a professional at home. That’s what inspired me to create Caspian Glow: a space for those who need trustworthy, easy-to-understand skincare advice, even if they don’t have direct access to a specialist.

To make sure this platform would truly be useful, I conducted a survey among people in my community to learn more about their skincare concerns. The responses were telling—76,5% said they struggled with acne. Of those, 37,5% had mild acne, 47,5% moderate, and 15% severe. It became clear that acne is not just common, but often under-discussed in a way that feels relatable and helpful to young people.

When asked what they are looking for in a skincare website, 78,4% of respondents said they were looking for honest product reviews, 90% wanted Q&A from dermatologists, and 55% hoped for simple, clear ingredient breakdowns to better understand what they’re putting on their skin. These answers confirmed what I had already suspected: there’s a real need for accessible, trustworthy skincare information, especially tailored to a younger audience.

Caspian Glow was born from this need—a place where skincare advice feels personal, honest, and empowering. Whether you're dealing with your first breakout or just curious about what a certain ingredient does, this platform is here to guide you—just like my mom once guided me.
